2 weeks was easy... now what?

Before James was born we were given a onesie that had “automatic sprinkler” on the front of it. Every time we have put the shirt on him, he has lived up to the title. Without fail we get a show that could put the fountains at the Bellagio to shame. But lately James has been mastering his lower functions and we have been able to enjoy a few hours a day where our wide eyed boy just wants to look around the world.

Allie has also grown very accustom to having something new in the house that screams and smells funny. In the past these were always little foster animals that Kami would bring home from work. At least with those we could send them back once they were healed. James on the other hand, well lets just say the warrantee expired 10 months ago there are no return options. Kami and I are ok with this because we love this little child.

We would also like to let anyone who reads this know that both curses that were placed on Kami and Spencer that they would have a child just like them has come to fruition. While James may look like his dad, he has his mothers “LOOKS.” The boy is doing well, he is growing strong and soon he will be the Wii Sports champion of the house. Well that is if he can beat Uncle William at the boxing match.

Ok onto less important news. Spencer is still enjoying his new job and is currently preparing for a trip to Florida for a Steel Bridge Competition. Shortly after he returns from Florida he will be treating his wife to a wonderful birthday dinner. (Probably Wendy’s)J After the birthday dinner Spencer will be back on a plane to Canada to run the National Concrete Canoe Competition. All of these new adventures are exciting for Spencer as they are things he has never done before and he does love a challenge.

Kami has taken motherhood in stride, but she is grateful for the weekends when Spencer is home all day and can take care of James while she sneaks in a much needed nap. She enjoys her days at home with her little boy, but alas, she will be returning to work in just 4 short weeks. Since passing her national boards in March, her boss has been anxious for her to return to start her duties as a licensed veterinary technician. But in the time being, she is looking forward to her sister, Sara coming out to see her and her little boy in just a few days!! So very exciting!!!! There will be serious girl time and adventures to be enjoyed. Not to mention having an extra set of hands to help with James!

On mothers day, we will be joined by many family members and friends as Spencer blesses little James at church. What a wonderful day for a baby blessing J
Well we believe that’s it for now! Lots of amazing things happening every day! We feel very very blessed.
