Friends of our had a list of 50 things they did in 2008 on their blog so I thought I would give it a try. It was so hard thinking back on last year and trying to remember what our family did. but an hour and a half later I finally came up with a decent list. 2008 was a busy year but I have a feeling 2009 will be even busier.
1. Started a new job (Spencer)
2. Hospitalized Allie twice
3. Went to Texas for the first time (Spencer)
4. Went to Las Vegas (Spencer)
5. Passed the national boards and became an LVT (Kami)
6. Had a baby (Kami, but I helped)
7. Went to Florida (Spencer)
8. 25th birthday (Kami)
9. Watched every season of Scrubs, three times over. (Both)
10. Went to Canada (Spencer)
11. 26th birthday (Spencer)
12. Went to California (Kami and James)
13. James’ first flight
14. Got new cell phones (ENVY2!! we love them)
15. BBQ’d Tri-tip (We use our BBQ at least once a week year round)
16. Went to a couple movies
17. Went to Williamsburg half a dozen times
18. Went to Pennsylvania
19. Ate Amish food
20. Was in the middle of a four car pile up on 66 (but not a scratch on our car)
21. Was pulled over for moving into the right turn lane (Kami)
22. Went to Kings Dominion
23. Invasion of the mice
24. Got a new pair of shoes (Spencer)
25. Went to Disneyland
26. Visited Steve and Stacy
27. Carved our first pumpkin together
28. Went to Kings Dominion
29. Got lost in an awesome corn maze
30. Went to Trader Joe's
31. Made homemade pizza - we're addicted to Trader Joe's pizza dough
32. Stayed in Massanuttan
33. Went to the SVU homecoming football game
34. Went to IHOP!
35. Bought a Wii
36. Lost 50lbs (Kami)
37. Watched the Inauguration of the first Black President
38. Learned to crawl (James)
39. Took the Mazda to the dealer 12 times (Spencer)
40. Saw a double rainbow
41. Had friends come and visit (Steve, Stacie, Adam, Peter, Ashley)
42. Spent Christmas with the Stauffer's
43. Had the best food at Lee-hi’s Truck Stop (aahhh memories)
44. Played weekly dodgeball at cub scouts (Spencer)
45. Made a gingerbread houses with the cub scouts
45. Read bedtime stories to James
46. Said Mamma (James)
47. Started a blog
48. Saved 10% on my car insurance
49. Lost a job (Spencer)
50. Blessed with a new job (Spencer)
Spencer and I were married August 12th 2006 at the Washington DC temple. We welcomed baby James in March of 2008 and baby Madelynn in April 2011. I became sick with unknown disease process in January of 2012 and began diagnostics immediately. We moved our life and family down from the DC area to Willliamsburg, to be closer to family. Spencer and my parents made it possible to do the move in such a short amount of time. We have lived here for one year already!.
